Five Stars Food Safety (FSFS) Course/Exam Refund Policy

Introduction

This Refund Policy applies to all food and alcohol safety courses and exams offered by Five Stars Food Safety (FSFS). Our goal is to provide clear, concise, and fair conditions under which refunds are granted.

Eligibility for Refund

1. Cancellation by Participant: Participants who cancel their registration more than 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the course fee.
2. Non-Attendance: Failure to attend a course without prior notification will result in the forfeiture of the full course fee.
3. Cancellation by FSFS: If FSFS cancels a course or exam for any reason, participants are entitled to a full refund of the fee or the option to transfer to another date at no additional cost.

Refund Process

1. Requesting a Refund: Refund requests must be made in writing via email to fivestarsfoodsafety@gmail.com. Please include your name, course details, and the reason for the refund request.
2. Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days after receiving the request. Refunds are made to the original payment method used during registration.
3. Receipt of Refund: Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 7-10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.

Exceptions

In exceptional circumstances, such as a serious illness or family emergency, FSFS may, at its discretion, provide a refund or course transfer even if the request falls outside the standard terms outlined above. Appropriate documentation may be required.

Course Transfers

Participants may transfer their registration to another course date or a different course entirely, subject to availability, by contacting FSFS at least 7 days before the original course date. Transfer requests may incur an administrative fee.
