This policy applies to food and alcohol safety courses and exams offered by Five Stars Food Safety. Its purpose is to provide clear conditions under which refunds or transfers may be granted.
Eligibility for refunds
- Cancellation by participant. Participants who cancel more than 14 days before the scheduled course may request a full refund. Cancellations within seven days of the scheduled course may be subject to a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the course fee.
- Non-attendance. Failure to attend without prior notification results in forfeiture of the course or exam fee.
- Cancellation by Five Stars Food Safety. If Five Stars Food Safety cancels a course or exam, the participant may receive a full refund or transfer to another available date at no additional charge.
Requesting and receiving a refund
Refund requests must be sent to fivestarsfoodsafety@gmail.com. Include your name, course or exam details, and the reason for the request.
Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days and returned to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers may require additional time before funds appear.
Exceptional circumstances
In exceptional circumstances, including serious illness or family emergency, Five Stars Food Safety may consider a refund or transfer outside the standard conditions. Supporting documentation may be requested.
Course transfers
Participants may request a transfer to another available course or date by contacting Five Stars Food Safety at least seven days before the original date. An administrative fee may apply.
